I am so excited to be offering Christmas Mini Sessions this year! Like, seriously excited!
The sets are nearly complete. Nearly because my shooting space is currently doubling as our basement which means I need to take it all down when the kids have friends over, but, I digress. Basement you say? Yes, after looking around for a rental space, I decided that while commercial space feels good, the price does not. So in order to keep my prices reasonable, home it is. I realize it can be little weird traipsing through someone's house, but I just know your images will make up for that!
When my kids were little they had pictures taken in their matching Christmas jammies, and that is my inspiration for my Milk and Cookies set, pictured below with just an iPhone pic and sans cookies. Yes, show up in your pjs, or don't. Totally your call. I also have a rustic cabin fireplace set which is great for my smaller clients. I may also have my Santa set up too so you'll have plenty from which to choose.
Santa you say? Well, I don't have anything official scheduled yet, but I am the president of the PLHS Cheerleading Booster Club and we have hired an amazing real beard Santa to be at our home competition from 10-2 on December 1, at PLHS. I am donating my time to raise money for the girls' trip to Nationals in Orlando, so for a $25 cash or check donation, you can avoid the mall and support our cheerleaders! You will receive 2 digital images with a print release and an online gallery.
But now back to my mini sessions. They will be no more than 15 minutes long. There are two digital picture packages from which to choose and that information and booking times can be found here!
I hope to see you soon!
I'm so excited to finally have my Autumn (no one uses this word enough) Mini Sessions pulled together!

As sessions are claimed I will remove them from this list. Payment is due at the time of booking to ensure your scheduled time. You do not need to choose your package until after your session. Once you have paid, leave your top three times in the comment section or shoot me an email at email@example.com. I'm so excited to have fun with your family!
You can expect between 15 and 20 images from your session. Your images will be posted in a password protected online gallery within two weeks of your session. Once your online gallery is active, you will have one week to make your selections. After this, there will be a fee to reactivate your gallery. If you know you won't have time to choose until say November, I won't post them until then, just let me know! Orders placed after December 10, do not guarantee a Christmas delivery. No orders will be accepted after December 15th.
Whenever I hear about a child battling cancer, it always makes me sad, it's just not something a child should ever have to face and it makes me ask the unanswerable question, "Why?" This summer my friend's 8 year old daughter was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma, a cancer of the bones and soft tissues. Hearing that word, cancer, in relation to your child is simply unimaginable. Since her diagnosis, Lauren has been undergoing chemotherapy to shrink her tumor so that it can be safely removed This means frequent hospital stays and time away from home as Lauren and her Mom will soon be heading out of state for 6-8 weeks so Lauren can get specialized radiation therapy. I was invited to the Larson home in Prior Lake to capture Lauren giving her Mom, Jess, a haircut. Cancer Moms are pretty special people too! You can see more here.
We were so very blessed by the outpuring of support we received this September when Braydon had his accident. There is no way I can ever repay or say thank you enough to all who brought us dinner, gift cards and donated, even complete strangers! But I can do something to help Lauren and her family and so that is why I have put together Christmas Minis for Lauren on November 10th and 11th.
What's a Mini? A mini session of course! Typcial portrait sessions are an hour or two long. Your mini session will be 20 minutes long. That should be just enough time for a group shot and then a few break downs: siblings, each child alone and Mom and Dad alone (or however your family looks, but you get the idea). These very special sessions are $125.00 with $50 going to the Lauren Larson Yellow Brick Road Fund.
Now, for the nitty gritty. Included in your mini session are 50 double-sided, 5x7 cards with envelopes and a 50% discount on gift prints, anything sized 8x10 and smaller, regular price $40. Additional cards are available for $1.60 each. Samples will be available on site and your design will be chosen on the day of your session. Within one week of your session, up to 10 images will be placed in your private on-line gallery. From there, you can choose the required number of images for your card. Galleries will expire on December 1, and an additonal fee will be required to re-publish. Orders placed after December 1, cannot be guaranteed a Christmas delivery and no orders will be fulfilled from December 15-January 7. Sessions will take place at my studio in Prior Lake, 16288 Main Ave #111. Families with more than three children may want to consider purchasing two spots, but we will do our best to get everything done in our time allotted.
Sessions will begin on the half hour. I will list the times available below, and remove them as they are taken. After you have paid for your session, please let me know your top three choices for times by either commenting below, sending me an e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org or by including a note when checking out with Paypal.
Simply click up top where is says "Services" to check out and pay for your session. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to call the studio at 952-479-0790.
This is a great way to get your holiday cards done the easy way, by someone else! There are only 17 spots available, so it's first come, first served. Thank you for allowing me to support Lauren's Yellow Brick Road Fund!!

In my world there isn't much that is more fun than toddler portrait sessions. I simply love chasing around toddlers and capturing them doing what they do best, playing and discovering. With children I always plan to spend the first bit of the session just playing and getting to know the child without my camera. Once I think they're comfortable with me, I pull out the camera and begin shooting. On this day Brielle and her parents met me at Lakefront Park in Prior Lake. The leaves were turning and it was simply gorgeous! I brought along my little yellow chair and boy was that a hit! Brielle was both full of smiles, but also full of deep thought, and truth be told, those always turn out to be my facorite images.
I do always recommend that parents join the shoot at least for an image or two. It's important to be in pictures with your children! Check out those fall colors!
We covered quite a bit of ground that day so I caught many adorable images of Brille walking and running.
This was my favorite image from the session!
Thank you Adam and Corrie for sharing your beautiful daughter for an hour. Ending the session with a hug from a little one sure is a perfect ending!
I had the pleasure of meeting Tyler at the end of this summer for his senior portrait session. Tyler said he knew where he wanted to go, so I met him and his Mom not far from their home in Eden Prairie that just happend to overlook the river bluffs. It was gorgeous! I just love when clients introduce me to fabulous locations. Tyler was so easy to work with with his easy smile and laid back nature.
Is it just me, or do you think he looks a bit like a certain teen singing sensation?
